that soft blue eye

I am learning to love the way
you punch me in the face
that soft blue eye
swollen shut
How you butt your head in my stomach
so my breath falls leaden to my shoes
The way you lose your temper
is a work of art
Your fingers split my lips
slip round my throat
red face gasping
each beat lasting till the heat death of the universe
photons blasting at the speed of stop
a red giant bursting
my bubble

You dont call again
but leave me dangling
by a daisy chain
wrapped around my ankle
upside down
skirt flipped
pants ripped
tipped and poured like champagne on the floor
a sparkler fizzing to black
still wishing you would come back
